BY-LAWS of the
Boulevard Knights Car Club

NAME:
The name of the organization hereinafter shall be the "Boulevard Knights Car Club"

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the car club shall be to promote and foster automotive interests including, but not limited to, participation in club activities such as car shows, cruises, and assisting members (if possible) with their restoration, repair, and/or modification interests and needs.

MEMBERSHIP:
(A) Prospective member should attend two events with the club before admittance may be addressed.
(B) Prospective member should have a classic car twenty (20) years or older, a restored or modified vehicle, a vehicle of special interest, a project car, or an interest in such vehicles with the goal of attaining a car, with an interest in the activities of the club.
(C) Prospective member must have a valid driver's license, submit a club application, and show proof of auto insurance. The executive committee will review the application and majority vote of the club's rank and file is needed for final approval.
(D) Voting rights and club participation are equal among all members.
(D2) Members means to be including dues payer and their immediate partner.
(D3) Immediate partner shall be eligible to hold office, head or serve on committees, same as dues payer.
(E) If a prospective member does not meet club requirements or attain a majority vote, they may reapply.
(F) All members shall pay an initial dues fee upon admittance, then a yearly dues fee is to be paid each March thereafter.

DUES:

Membership runs on a yearly basis from March 15th to March 15 of the following year.

For 2008 a yearly membership fee of $20.00 per year will be collected to help support the costs of the website and other minor expenses, and for the club to further grow and prosper.

Dues will be pro-rated for anyone who has their membership approved after September 1st of the calendar year. And, will only be charged 1/2 of the yearly dues amount. The full dues amount will be collected the following year in March if the member wishes to continue his or her membership.

EVENTS:
(A) There will be specified yearly club-sponsored events. These will be:
1) Season Kick-off  (a meet and greet at the beginning of the season to review the previous year and set goals for the coming season)
2) Club Only Poker Run
                    3) Annual Car Show / Cruise hosted by the Club            

       4) Post Holiday / Barrett Jackson get together. (A special event to shake off the winter blahs, catch up with other members and watch some hot action from the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction.)

MEETINGS:
(A) Official Club meetings will take place on an as needed basis.

There is no set meeting schedule, however we do have club sponsored functions and special event activities throughout the year. (see above) These functions are never mandatory, participation within the club is always voluntary.

 
EXPULSION:
"ALL MEMBERS SHALL HAVE AND SHOW
RESPECT FOR PLACES THAT ANY CLUB
MEMBER ATTENDS. REMEMBER, WHEREVER
YOU OR YOUR VEHICLE GOES,
OUR CLUB NAME GOES ALSO."
(A) Members can be expelled from the club by a majority vote at a club meeting upon any one (1) of the following grounds:
(A1) Anyone that gives "Boulevard Knights" Car Club a bad reputation.
(A2) Misconduct or intemperance at club meetings or events.
(A3) Failure to stay current with all payments due, such as yearly dues and money for club events.
(B) Members will be automatically expelled for the following:
(B1) Conviction of a felony
(B2) Illegal use of drugs or substance abuse
(B3) Sale or handling of illegal or stolen merchandise

OFFICERS:
(A) The club shall have the following officers:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Club Ambassadors (5)


BYLAWS:
(A) Bylaws govern the club and cover all rules, regulations, and procedures of the club, its members and future board members.
(B) Bylaws will be reviewed every two (2) years or as needed.

AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS:
(A) A special bylaws review can be called for by the president at any time he/she feels it is necessary.
(B) An amendment of bylaws must be approved by a 2/3rds-majority vote of members present at a club meeting following the proposal.
(C) After each review and vote by members, any amended copy of bylaws will be furnished to all active club members.
